Descendant Chart for Rev. John Tindall
John Tindall was born circa 1755 at Worcester County, Maryland.1
He was the son of Elijah Tindall and (?) (?).
John Tindall married Betty (?) circa 1772.1
John Tindall left a will on 31 October 1783 that gave all his estate to his wife, Betty Tindal, to raise small children Sarah, Samuel, William, Elijah, Isaiah, and "the child that my wife now goes with". The will was probated 5 March 1784.2
He died in 1784 at Worcester County, Maryland.1
All of John's five living offspring are listed as "small children" in his will of October 31, 1783. If we assume that this means 10 years or younger, then they would have been born between 1773 and 1783. Also it is reasonable to assume that he was married not much before 1772. Since his father Elijah was born about 1735-1737, we conjecture that John was born midway between 1736 and 1772, say about 1755, when Elijah was about 20. John's will also notes an "unborn child" which, if it survived, must have been born between November 1783 and July 1784.1,2
He was an Episcopal clergyman.
